Carolyn Warmus, an American former elementary school teacher, was convicted of second-degree murder and illegal possession of a firearm after she went under trial for the incident in 1989. She had shot her ex-lover’s wife, Betty Jeanne Solomon.

She was imprisoned in Westchester County, New York’s Bedford Hills Correctional Facility for Women. She was subjected to several affirmed disciplinary actions, which were raised during her first parole denial in early 2017.

That same year, Warmus claimed her innocence. She also demanded that glove evidence uncovered by her ex-lover Paul Solomon between the first and second trials be tested for DNA.
