Marlene Knaus is the first wife of Niki Lauda and a former model.

Marlene was born in 1956. She was married to Lauda between 1976 and 1991. Their relationship produced two children – Mathias Lauda, and Lukas Lauda.

Birgit Wetzinger

Birgit Wetzinger is the second wife of Niki Lauda who used to work as a flight attendant.

Birgit was born in Vienna, Austria, and holds a degree in Hospitality and Management. She was married to Lauda from 2008 up until his death.

Niki Lauda Life And Career

Niki Lauda was an Australian F1 driver and non-executive chairman of Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team.

Born on February 22, 1949, Vienna, Austria, Lauda won the F1 World Drivers’ Championship on three occasions.

In the history of Formula 1, he is the only driver to win Championships for both Ferrari and McLaren.

Lauda was also an aviation expert who owned three airlines – Lauda Air, Niki and Lauda.

In addition, he served as consultant for Scuderia Ferrari and had managed the Jaguar Formula One racing team for a brief period.

Lauda, passed away in his sleep on May 20, 2019, at the University Hospital of Zürich. He was aged 70.
