Hroniss Grasu and girlfriend Sabrina Ionescu have been in a relationship from 2021. 

On the occasion of her boyfriend’s 30th birthday, she uploaded his picture on the site for the first time and referred to him as her person. 

It was unexpected for the athlete couple’s fans, but everyone adored them after knowing they were together. The WNBA player occasionally uploads images with the love of her life.

As the supportive partner, the pair keeps appearing in each other’s games and cheering from the crowd.

On January 2021, the footballer announced he would no more use his Instagram account. Instead, he made an upload thanking everyone for their support. While most of his followers were sad and accepted his decision, one of them commented, you are dating Sabrina in July of that year.

Grasu is a football center who has played in the NFL throughout his career. 

He is a third-round 71st pick of the Chicago bears in the 2015 NFL Draft. 

On 10 December, the Raiders promoted him to the active roster. Before that, he was in the practice squad. At the end of August 2022, Garsu was waived by his current team but again signed to the same group as earlier. 

The pro player was born on 12 August 1991 in California. He was raised by his parents, who shifted to the United States in 1982. 

Grasu Parents Are Immigrants

Hroniss has Romanian family background as his parents, Stefan and Mariana Grasu, moved to Los Angeles from Romania in 1982. The pair started their own business by opening a “Greco’s New York Pizzeria” restaurant on Hollywood Boulevard. 

Despite coming from foreign lands, his mom and dad raised him fulfilling all his needs and supporting his interest and passion. The Romanian couple trusted their son and knew he had what it takes to be a pro footballer. So they sent their boy to Crespi Carmelite High School.

His mother was also an athlete and he got some sportsmanship traits from her. Mariana played in Romania’s national handball team as a goalie. 

But his father, Stefan, used to work as a stuntman in his native country. 

He is not the only kid of his parents, the pro footballer also has an older brother Nico. The older son of Stefan and Mariana also found his interest in sports and was a placekicker for Washington State. 

Hroniss Football Career So Far

Hroniss interest in football started when he attended high school in Los Angeles. The future star was named an All-State offensive lineman. His performance found him a place as a three-star recruit by Rivals.com, and he was also ranked as the 12th center prospect from his class. 

After school, he joined the University of Oregon and started to play for the college team. Hroniss took over as the team’s starting center as a freshman and held that position until his senior year.

In 2011, he was awarded to the All-Freshman Second Team. In 2012, 2013, and 2014, he was named to the All-Pac-12 First Team. Later he was also elected as the finalist for the Rimington Trophy for two consecutive years. 

Finally, in 2015 he was drafted into NHL and started his professional career. He played for the Chicago Bears until 2 September 2018. Then he signed n with Baltimore Ravens but only played three games before being released on 24 November. 

Until Las Vegas Raiders signed him on 25 October 2019, the footballer had quite a challenging journey. He played for many teams and was released by the Miami Dolphins in nine days.
